a/Prof Norman Blumenthal is an experienced obstetrician and gynaecologist from Notre Dame University with clinical appointments at Blacktown Public Hospital, the Sydney Adventist Hospital, and Norwest private hospitals.  a/Prof Blumenthal visited Gizo in April 2017 and Northern Provincial Hospital, Espiritu Santo, Vanuatu in April 2018 and has been instrumental in organising medical student electives to the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu  from Notre Dame University.
