DAISI has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its partner countries in the South Pacific, conducting overseas trips only when a contractual partnership is in place. Overseas trips are agreed on up to a year in advance as part of the overseas strategic plan.
DAISI successfully conducted five subspecialty surgical training trips (trips # 1-5) to the Solomon Islands in 2023. Regrettably the last three planned trips (trips # 6-8) had to be cancelled. DAISI apologises to those volunteers affected by these cancellations.
