Dr Michael Chow – Medical Student Program Officer
Dr Michael Chow is the Medical Student Liaison Officer. Dr Chow is a retired dentist who has been an active DAISI volunteer since 2017. Unlike most volunteers, Dr Chow’s involvement as a DAISI volunteer has mainly been conducted here in Australia. In 2018-2019 Dr Chow was in charge of the 10 bed program at St Vincents Hospital: a project that cares for patients from the Solomon Islands needing medical and surgical treatment at St Vincent’s Hospital. Dr Chow, an active Rotarian all his life has also been instrumental in helping develop and support DAISI in the area of fundraising, as well as its organisational and committee structure. Dr Chow’s daughter Carina Chow and son-in-law Dr Ben Green, are both active DAISI volunteers.
