This trip involved Prof Robert Fitridge a vascular surgeon and clinical professor from Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide with a particular interest in the management of diabetic foot complications, visiting National Referral Hospital (NRH) on the request on NRH Surgeons. Prof Fitridge is also a member of the International Working group for the diabetic foot, which develops guidelines for the management of the diabetic foot internationally. Prof Fitridge volunteered at NRH in Honiara, from 27th Oct – 2nd Nov 2018 teaching various aspects of podiatry and surgery related to management of the diabetic foot.
