Doctors Assisting In South Pacific Islands (DAISI) is an independent, secular development agency, established in Australia in 2016. It now operates in most countries  in the South Pacific that are below the poverty line

.

DAISI’s aim is to reduce the gap in health care between Australia and its South Pacific neighbours through ongoing training, and education, and the sharing of medical resources and knowledge.

DAISI  is constituted as an unlisted public company limited by guarantee under Australian law. It is a membership-based, not-for-profit, non-government organisation. It is governed by the relevant provisions of the Corporations Act 2001 and its own Constitution adopted by the members in 2016. The Foundation is also registered as a charity with the Australian Not-for-profit Charities Commission and must meet its requirements including certain governance standards.
