Ben Green is a final year medical student from Flinders University, South Australia,  who did placement at Gizo Hospital for six weeks to do volunteer surgery in February 2017. 

Ben has an interest in rural and remote medicine.  He is part of a research group evaluating adolescent mental health programs in rural high schools. Ben is also part-way through his ACRRM John Flynn Placement Program commitment to a remote Aboriginal community in central Australia. Prior to medicine, Ben spent a decade working with children under the Guardianship of the Minister in alternative care, studied Psychology, and played a lot of music in various bands.
