Dr Emily Stevenson first volunteered with DAISI as a gynae SRMO from Newcastle in July 2019 when she volunteered at Gizo Hospital in the far Western Provine of the Solomon Islands, with a visiting Gynae DAISI team for one week. She plans to return as a gynae registrar in September 2023 again as part of a visiting Gynae DAISI team to Gizo hospital for one week.
