Dr Matt Rickard is the Chair of DAISI. Dr Rickard is a Colorectal Surgeon from Concord Hospital, and previous CSSANZ office bearer, who in addition to his colorectal interests, has had a longstanding interest in humanitarian work, with a number of colorectal visits for teaching and surgery in North East Africa over the years. Dr Rickard volunteered with DAISi on a number of trips to the Solomon Islands and the Highlands of Papua New Guinea, with a particular emphasis on teaching basic laparoscopic skills and colorectal surgery to the local surgeons. Dr Rickard is committed to ongoing humanitarian work in the Developing World and South Pacific Nations.
