The country programme officers will organise DAISI activities with its partners in the South Pacific, working in harmony and cooperation with existing health personnel and infrastructure.
The Country Programme Officers are responsible for ensuring the practical delivery of services, education & supplies/equipment that is in keeping with DAISI’s ethos m, policies and in a manner that results in lasting change.
The Country Programme officer reportS directly to the CEO & Secretary.
- Liaise with doctors, nurses, government and ministry of health, medical and nurse registration boards and officials and members of the Australian High Commission in their designated country in a manner that promotes collegiate and harmonious working a relationship
- Coordinate volunteer trips to the designated country that have full support, cooperation & joint planning from host country
- ensure volunteers and partners are compliant with their reporting obligations and post trip assessments.
- In consultation with DAISI board ensure:
- Current memorandum of understanding (MOU) exists between DAISI and the partner country.
- this MoU must be relevant and address the co-contribution roles of daisi and its partners in all activities.
- This MoU must include agreement to abide by the ACFID code of conduct in matters relating to child protection.
- The country Programme officer is encouraged to complete the ACFID Code of Conduct induction training including the E-Learning modules and self assessments, particularly in matters related to child protection.
- the Country programme officer must prepare a report for the AGM.
- the country programme officer is encourage to attend the quarterly Board Meeting to provide briefing on all activities, issues and needs in their country.
The country programme officer will consult Directly with the CEO, General Manager and Secretary in all matters.
