Dr Karishma Buhariwalla

Karishma , a final 5th year medical student from University of NSW, volunteered at Gizo hospital for 4 weeks from 21 Nov-18 Dec 2016 mainly working in the Emergency Department.   Karishma has lived in both a developing country, growing up in India, and later in Auckland when her family moved to New Zealand in 2005. Karishma is very passionate about equality in access to health services and engaged in emergency medicine, and primary health care during her visit to Gizo hospital.  Karishma was also part of an outreach contraception mission to nearbly clinics to implement IUD devices for contraception.
