POLICY

Application

  1. Medical students volunteering with DAISI must:
    1. complete application form, including two referees.
    2. Provide a current Working With Children Certificate
    3. Agree to abide by DAISI’s policies, and the ACFID Code of Conduct

Supervision

2. Medical students must be

a. directly supervised by a qualified and registered medical practitioner in the country in which they volunteer.

b. Supervised when performing medical or surgical procedures.

Monitoring

3. Medical students must where practical:

a. Complete induction prior to volunteering

b. Complete post trip debriefing

c. Complete DAISI’s feedback form
