The Solomon Foundation was founded by Ian Hosking Richards, a philanthropist and current Consular General (Sydney) for the Solomon Islands. 

The Solomon Foundationhas been actively involved on many fronts improving the delivery of medical services to the Solomon Islands, including involvement in the 10 bed program at St  Vinvents responsible for the delivery of vitally needed medical services for patients requiring cardiac surgery or intervention.
