This one week DAISI trip involvde cardiologists from St George Hospital Dr James Weaver, Dr George Youssef, Dr Daniel Chen, and Dr Suresh Singarayar. It also involved Pauline Reilly (echo technician) .
This trip was approved from Dickson Boara and John Hue for the clinics. The team attended the cardiology clinic at NRH Monday 18th -Tuesday 19th February 2019 screening over 200 patients for heart disease, then a clinic in Gizo Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd February screening another 150 patients. Two patients with heart failure and dysrhythmia had pacemakers inserted at National Referral Hospital.
