This trip was requested and approved by Northern Provincial Hospital and Mr Russell Tamata in January 2018, with temporary medical registration approved by the Minister of Health Hon Norris Jack Kalmet (MP) on the 7th June 2019 and cancelled on 30th August 2019 due to inability in the month prior to departure to get any confirmation from NPH Medical Executive of arrangement and cases prepared for volunteers.
This trip to NPH Hospital was intended to provide anaesthetic support to the two surgeons at Northern Provincial Hospital, and made on the request of Dr Andy Ilo, Dr Basil Leodoro, and Mr Russell Tamata.
