The Tupua Tamasese Meaole (TTM) Hospital at Motootua provides the people of Samoa with numerous health services and facilities. It is the only hospital providing scope for learning medicine in Samoa. The hospital provides primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities in addition to offering a range of specialist medical services, surgery and outpatients clinics.
The Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital at Motootua is connected to the other Samoa hospitals and clinics. The specialists working in the hospital extend services to the Malietoa Tanumafili II Hospital at Tuasivi on Savaii and the district hospitals. The departments of surgery, paediatrics, internal medicine and gynecology are helped by the specialists from Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital. The hospital is the headquarters of the Ministry of Health, Samoa.
