grey text = volunteer has not yet confirmed their intent to volunteer (please email confirmation of your intent to volunteer to staff@daisi.com.au).
black text = volunteer has confirmed intent to volunteer but volunteer’s application application form for temporary registration, and/or necessary supporting documents have not yet been received by DAISI (please email to staff@daisi.com.au).
blue text = volunteer’s application for temporary registration with supporting documents has been sent to the relevant Registry Board and is still pending approval.
green text = Good to go! Volunteer’s registration is either not required or has already been approved.
red text = for one reason or another volunteer’s trip has been cancelled.

This one week trip will involve UGI, Colorectal, head and neck and laparoscopic surgery.  It will also coincide with the Enga Cultural Festival Friday 7th August until Sunday 9th August 2020.  The team depart Sydney Saturday 1st August 6:35am (Qantas) with 1h50m stopover in Brisbane, and 2h20m stopover in Port Moresby. Connect with Air Niugini to Mount Hagen arriving 4:25pm.  Dr Elvis Japhlet will organise 4WD pick up from Mt Hagan (2 hour trip by partially sealed road) to Sopas Hospital. The plan is operating all day Monday to Thursday, with relaxation Fri, Sat & Sunday. Return trip will depart Wapenamanda 11:05 Monday 10th August, spend overnight in Port Moresby (Airway’s Hotel), and depart Port Moresby 11th August 1:25pm, arriving Sydney 7:45pm.  Prof Berney will stay on longer to visit New Britain.

Airport pick up and drop off and accommodation and all food at Sopas is provided free of charge.
