This one week trip will involve UGI, Colorectal, head and neck and laparoscopic surgery.  It will also coincide with the Enga Cultural Festival Friday 6th August 2021 until Sunday 8th August 2021.  The team depart Sydney Saturday 31st July 6:35am (Qantas) with 1h50m stopover in Brisbane, and 2h20m stopover in Port Moresby. Connect with Air Niugini to Mount Hagen arriving 4:25pm.  Dr Elvis Japhlet will organise 4WD pick up from Mt Hagan (2 hour trip by partially sealed road) to Sopas Hospital. The plan is operating all day Monday 1st August to Thursday 5th August 2021, with relaxation Fri, Sat & Sunday. 6th – 8th August.  Return trip will depart Wapenamanda 11:05 Monday 9th August, spend overnight in Port Moresby (Airway’s Hotel), and depart Port Moresby Tuesday 10th August 1:25pm, arriving Sydney 7:45pm.  Prof Berney will stay on longer to visit New Britain.

Airport pick up and drop off and accommodation and all food at Sopas is provided free of charge.
